so i had this dream that went on forever. it started out with me at someone's party, in a house i've never been in, with people i don't know. then i met this beautiful girl and started talking to her, and she said that i'd need her help soon or something. so i got her number and went outside for some reason and ended up walking around in a strange town i just cant describe because it was so weird looking. i get lost and try to find my way back, but it seems as though the area keeps changing and i can't go back to one place. i tried to call the girl i just met but when i pull up her number on my phone it deletes itself. so i keep trying to find her and run into some thugs who chase me down. i run in a fountain to hide, and i look down and see the water turned into knee-deep embers and my legs catch fire. i try to put them out but my whole body catches fire. then suddenly i jumped and started flying, putting out the flames. i flew for what seemed like hours to a new city in the daytime and my flight powers stop working, as i fall to what seems like my death. i survive the fall and find my car sitting in an empty parking lot. so i departed for home, and along the highway, i run into a police barricade. a complete ogre of a cop that made michael clark duncan look like a puppy dog comes out and threatens to kill me if i have weed in the car. i didnt. but he said he had weed planted at my house and if they get to it before i get rid of it, i'll be burned alive. i dont remember anything else, just a frantic race home, and some good guy cop trying to protect me from the arriving cops at the bad one's command. what is the meaning of this nonsense?

there are many things that could really use some changing. But the problem is finding a way to make the changes one at a time without disrupting the whole system. This change has been foretold to come for a very long time through prophets and such. It must come because we can not continue in this manner for much longer. But no one seems to be able to come up with a way to resolve the issues that will result from the "waking". We must do something pretty fast and there will be big problems once we do, but we have no choice. I have seen many attempts at preparing people for this waking, but people are not getting it. There is so much trash around it that it is hard for most of us to grasp what is going on. The preparation attempts have i my eyes been a drastic failure. I have no clue how to resolve the problem and no one that knows about it is talking. You have to know that it is there before you can see it. Then the deeper you look into what you find, the brighter it is to you. Once you see it, it is hard to believe you could not see it before. But you were blinded by the world as you thought it was. it's muddy water but keep dipping into it and you will see. the blindness can be lifted. But in order to see you must first believe. That is the hard part. How to believe in something that you can not see, and that sounds like craziness. But if i am crazy it is for Christ that i am crazy. It is for the love of truth and fairness to all. This world is very hard to continue to live in once your eyes are opened to the truth and you are surrounded by the blind and considered crazy if you open your mind to any of them. i am torn in two. better for me to depart from this world but better for you that i remain for the chance that maybe i can be of assistance in the waking some day hopefully before it is too late. Riding Amtrak in a few days?

Hey guys, I am on vacation right now and in a few days I will be riding my first Amtrak on my way to the airport. Admittedly I'm not very good with symbolism =P but I can recommend a great genre of paintings that are all about symbolism and should give you some inspiration hopefully! It's called Vanitas, a sub-category of Memento Mori (which also might interest you). Wikipedia has a good article on these two genres and there are probably lots of websites. If you do decide to go with something like this, be careful that you don't make it too clich�. These themes have been around the block a few times =P

Is it possible for my basement to be "too dry"?

I got a dehumidifier for my basement about a week ago and have been running it 24/7, with the water draining via a garden hose into the drain in the basement floor, and last night I slept in the basement because of tornado warnings in this area. This morning when I woke up, I had the same kind of sinus headache I've had before during the winter when the air is very dry, and as soon as I went upstairs and opened the door to the main floor of the house, I immediately noticed the much more humid air on the main floor, although it really doesn't feel humid when I just stay on the main floor. So that got me to wondering, is it possible for my basement to be "too dry"? My house is 110 years old, with exposed wooden floor beams comprising the ceiling of the basement, and the structure of the house is in excellent shape, but I got to wondering if running the dehumidifier 24/7 in the basement while we've had a lot of stormy weather will have any sort of negative effect on the basement, or if I should just keep it running.

So I found a cruise back in December for this August, at that time it was only like $600 for 6 nights i believe. Now I look at it and the price has increased to $900! Recently my brother just got our computer fixed and when we got it there was two accounts. It had been reset. One said owner and guest. It had a password on owner ! What the heck ? Okay, so today's forecast said "Scattered Strong Storms," as if it was going to be a very stormy day. It still says that as the forecast, but it has been the most perfect day. I feel like my cat's death is my fault. I'm so sad, how can I possibly forgive myself?

About two years ago I gained the trust of a stray cat that lived outside of my boyfriends house. We bonded to the point where this cat went from sprinting away from the site of any humans to purring and hopping onto my lap to cuddle. She was already really old when I befriended her and too skinny to be in full health. I tried to gain her wieght back by regularly feeding her wet food but nothing worked. She seemed happy though, so I just tried to make the rest of her life one full of love, since she had been alone for the entirety of it until I befriended her. Well, my boyfriend went on a trip for 6 days and I was so busy i didn't go over to spend time with the kitty. I really should have. My boyfriends parents left food for her to eat in the house and everything so she wasn't starving but it was dry food, which she wouldnt eat as much. It was really stormy while my boyfriend was gone, like 4 inches of rain an hour, and i thought the cat would be fine because she lived her entire life as a stray and she could go into the house if she wanted to (she slept outside). But then i got a call from my boyfriends mom, who knew I loved the cat, and told me the kitty was really sick and that we had to put her down. When i got there, she couldnt even walk, there was no strength left in her. I put her in my lap and she didnt even have enough strength left to purr, she could only slightly nuzzle my hand when i put it up to her face. It was so unbelievably heart breaking. My boyfriends mom is positive it was cancer. I know she wasnt at optimal health and didnt have much longer to live, even before she got super sick she was skin & bones, lost her balance alot while walking and sat down slowly like her legs might give out, but I feel so much that her getting so sick so quickly is because i wasnt there for her during the stormy weather over the 6 days.There was thunder and lightning too and she didnt go inside so she was probably somewhere outside scared and cold. The aread she normally sleeps at outside was all messed up so there was no shelther for her so she had no where to go over those 6 days. No one else in the family takes care of her and it's all my fault she got sick because i wasnt there for her! I'm so sad and I miss her so much and regret more than anything not being there for my kitty. I feel like she got sick because of me. I know she was old and not at optimal health, but I should have gone over to my boyfriends house while he was gone to take care of her. Maybe if i was there to coax her inside and feed her wet food she would still be here. I'm so sad and there's nothing I can do. In the end, I wasn't there for the cat that trusted me and only me, her only friend throughout her entire life. I know it's just a cat but it was an extremely special and rare bond i gained with her, it's not every day a cat goes from living 14 years as a stray to running up to you and meowing to be pet. I'm so sad. We had to take her to the humane society to be put down because a private facility would cost over $200 dollars. So we took her in, i was carrying her curled up in a little box. But then the humane society told us we couldn't even go in and hold her while they put her down. This broke my heart even more. Being a stray cat, she's still wary of strangers and I wanted to be there holding her while they did it. It's not like she'd fight them or try to get away, she was so sick already all she was doing was lying there, but I wish I could have at least been there for her in the end. I'm so heartbroken about the whole situation, I can barely see what I'm typing through my tears. I know my friendship gave her a better life, but I feel like I failed her in the end.

It is a little hard to read because of the format that it is in, but it is good. I see it more as a poetic paragraph then a poem though, but you can write, keep at it! It's the only way to get better.

There is sun here maybe twice a week at best but it rains almost every night and dont get me started on thunder showers! Why does she flirt like this?

This girl I like keeps dropping hints that she likes me. She says things like I have been dreaming alot about you and even asked if I would take her out to her favorite resturaunt. We write notes to eachother (nothing heavy like "ilove you" or anything) i'm always a little flirty in the letter but it seems that every letter i get from her, she just talks about her day and random crap lol i want her to be flirty like she is when i talk to her! why do you think she's like this?

Would it be inappropriate to write about my romance novel for my college essay?

I agree with S.K. Plus, most people reading this are automatically going to think of the 'Twilight' series simply because of the similarity in the character names and because it appears to be about forbidden love. That instant connection, fair or not, will connect a college essay to a young adult novel, and the writer of that college essay to a much younger girl. There are so many basic writing problems here that I would suggest having someone edit this for you long before you make any attempts to use it for anything other than your own enjoyment. S.K. listed some, but as a specific example, most people can't sob and speak at the same time. You would write that part with a simple 'she said' dialog tag, and then show her sobbing through body language and interaction with the character. This isn't to say don't write, just that you don't appear to be ready to submit to a college for something as important as an essay. Keep writing, having fun with your story, and learning the craft, but find something else for your college essay. Good luck.
